 I recommend these two books; the first How We Got the Bible, is written by one of my professors, Dr. Timothy Paul Jones. He wrote this with the intention of providing an easy read which would educate people in where their Bible came from. This book is useful from student to senior. The other, Evidence That Demands a Verdict, is a must have for any Christian. This work is a bit more text book in style, but covers every topic one could imagine. I have both the hard bound and the audio version. Both books will serve you well as initial reads, but also as sources of reference throughout the years.
